Story Start

1000memoriesWith the Eternal Calm things have been peaceful. I thought that it's what I wanted but as the days passed I found that something was missing. I continued to explore the Island of Besaid, looking for something...anything.
What I found changed everything.
It was a sphere but unlike the others I carried. It glowed softly and inside there was more than just the chaotic movements of water. It was a dark midnight blue with stars dotting around a rectangular shape. I carefully picked it up and turned it on, thinking I would be the witness to another's past. Instead the world collapsed around me in a kaleidoscope of color. I was falling and then cold. When I opened my eyes the sphere was still in my hands but it's lost its glow. When I pulled the odd orb closer I saw a window or door inside of it.
I didn't understand.
I looked around me and found that I was somewhere new.
I was in a forest; dense, thick and dark. It was nothing like Besaid. I didn't know it then but this was when my adventure began. I was alone this time but I wasn't going to give up. It just wasn't in me to stop. I lifted myself from the ground and kept going. I was here for a reason and I would find it.
