The world is mostly forests and while 45% of the planet it covered in water. The areas with water are mostly shallow, reaching to 8 feet at its deepest. They resemble marshlands and have trees reaching out of the swirling currents. There is no salt water on Slvanus as the trees purify and clean the water that is there. There are many different towns that exist on this planet. There is also magic. Their technology is rather simple, having no metal but stone and wood as basic materials. They live with the earth and the planet respecting it and the spirits who live there. The planet has two suns. One of them glows blue or white, depending on the reaction of the gasses around the planet and is a dwarf star. The other burns yellow and is similar to earth’s sun. Slvanus does have a moon however it isn’t a sphere but an oblong eclipse which appears in the sky during the day for a few hours each day. Only 20% of the planet is habited. The Dark Woods are considered a deadly area of the plant while the Misty Lanes are known as the path of the gods and all are forbidden to walk there.
Houses are mostly built out of stone though there are some villages that are made from fallen pieces of wood. They do not chop down trees and part of that is because of their connection to the spirits that live with them. There are glowing blue spirts that come out at dark and spirits that resemble ghosts. There are old temps that have been abandoned and have been given back to the forests. The people are peaceful however they have learned to protect themselves from the natural dangers of the forest. The forests are home to many animals, all similar to ones that can be found in earth’s rain forests.
The populace of this planet are both humans and elves who are similar to the Norse and German legends. In some cases they are seen as gods while in others they are seen as monstrous or harmful creatures. They are long lived, smart and quick; as such the world thrives in tenuous peace. Elves are depicted as pretty however that isn’t true of all races of elves just as it isn’t true of all races of man. Those who are sent as messengers are usually fair and selected carefully in order to ensure their safety. It’s the spirits of the forest, Eur and Isra, who keep the two races living peacefully. You are only able to speak to these two spirits through chosen which is a belief that all the people share.

When Yuna first wakes up she finds herself in a desolate part of the forest. She begins to wander around but finds nothing until nightfall. As the world darkness and the odd shaped moon rises small wisps of blue appear out of the forest. Yuna follows them and finds herself face to face with Frerin. After asserting that she wasn’t dangerous she was sent to meet Frór who was the leader of the elven tribe she’d stumbled across. She did her best to explain but her reason for being there unknown she was kept as something like a prisoner, under the watch of Frerin. She was allowed to wander and learn about their culture but she wasn’t allowed outside of the city. Impressed by her ingenuity and curiosity Freirn began to teach her about the woods and as she reached out the forest it reached back.
Shocked at the sudden acceptance by this stranger Yuna was allowed to learn more from Freirn however she still wasn’t allowed to leave the village. In her dreams she was visited by Isra and told about the forest. It was during this time that her black mage spheres began to change. One night when Irsa visited Yuna told her of her situation, wanting to know if there was a way that she might leave. Irsa was shocked at Yuna’s captivity and formed in front of Frór to speak out for Yuna. It was then that Yuna was allowed to leave though she remained for two more months learning of white magic from the spirits. She stayed for a total of 8 months spending most of her time with Freirn. When she left, he begged to let him come with her but she denied and began to make her way into the woods once more.
Yuna didn’t know where she was going but she listened to the sounds around her. It was during this solitude that she met Eur and stumbled across the Misty Lanes. He allowed her to stay for several months though time outside stopped while she was there and she stopped aging. She learned more of herself, her magic and what the odd sphere she found was. It was an opening to something more and it was now connected with her. She was given a gift and it was up to her what she was to do with it.
Leaving Eur she found herself at the edge of the Dark Woods, she didn’t know what was in there but wanted to take a chance and see. Freirn had followed her and confronted her before she was able to step into the dark. They fought and in the end Freirn was left behind as Yuna traveled through the darkness. It was days of loneliness and there were times when she thought the lack of food might kill her. In the end her body gave out and she washed up on the root of an old maple tree, just outside the Dark Forest. It was here that Lily found her. She called her father and her brother and the family took Yuna in and nursed her back to health.
She stayed when them for a few months but talked very little. Over time she grew to love Orin and his children and found herself smiling with them. Lily had begun to teach Yuna a new way of performing alchemy using her own teachings and her mother’s memories. She began to open up to Orin a little bit more and eventually told him everything that had happened to her. The village that she’d stayed in had been one that was close to their home. Orin had lived just outside of the settlement nearby due to his work. Both races purchased his trade. Eventually word got around that a two eye-toned girl was living with Orin and his family. Freirn set out to get her back though he did so discretely. He brought five guards with him, knowing that Yuna would struggle.
The conflict didn’t end well and after Orin almost lost his life Yuna decided to leave again. Orin protested but when Yuna begged him to let her protect him and his family he agreed and watched her go.
The next three months Yuna spent with Freirn testing the edges to the Dark Forest. In their time she healed him of his darkness and showed him how to heal the forest. It would take more than one person and as Freirn ran to tell his village and the other surrounding settlements Yuna looked down at the odd little sphere that brought her here. It looked like the window was open and without much thought Yuna ran her finger along the edge, flicking the switch and sending her once more into a kaleidoscope of color.
